I was wondering about the bread project. I'm sure it will turn out fine but
am interested in hearing your story about it. So, is your mom still there?
Is she suprized your making bread? Let me know if you are running low on
any spices and I'll pick some up for you.

Happy Holidays to all.
Olwen

Mom and Granny had to go and do make ready for the
  rest of the family stuff.
She asked what i was doing in the kitchen so I told her
this of course lead to the ump-teenth re-telling of
"Bills first time cooking".
      The story(as it happend,Iwas there!)
Many years ago and in a Land called Alaska,
there was a very young lad named Bill, all of 3
years at the time who, waking one frigid morning
loooooooooooooooooooong before Mom and Dad, decided he
was very very hungry(this hasnt changed much) so..............
off to mom and dads room he Marches !!!
"Mommy..... Mommy I's is hungwy can you make brefast?"
the sleepy parental units looked at me then the clock
and in that voice of Parental Doom that has stopped even time
said as one"its 4:30 in the morning go back to bed"
WELL.........of all the nerve
little Billy trundeled off to bed but decided HE could make his
own brefast..........Just like Mom did
so the chair scooted to the stove, the cast iron pan went on the
burner(just like mom!)on came the burner, and from the fridge came
eggs and some Armor Star Bacon! into the pan the went,of course
just like mom would do it as I watched the eggs and bacon cooking
i heard a sound from the bedroom where the Parental units slept
I looked up........and there .........they stood sleepy wavering
BUT smiling, dad went back to bed, Mom checked my progress and plated the
results, which to me at the time were a Banquet!
   The result?
In my teen years I worked in a Italian/Pizza place
after my hitch in the Service I spent 10 years in
resturants doing everything from washing dishes to
an asst. Kitchen manager. I got burnt out on food
in that time and walked away............
Now tho I have a rekindled interest in food and in
learning.......so Here I am waiting for my 1st 2 loaves
of period bread to come outta the oven and babbling
to you all of inconsequental trivia from my life.
