Six for me. There was a time when living in Ostgardr was essentially the
death knell for any type of award or recognition. Then they found out
that when nobody else wanted to bid on a large Kingdom event, we would,
and when the kingdom's funds had been mismanaged and they needed a huge
infusion of cash, we could raise thousands for them in one day.
(Pie-a-Peer!!!) All of a sudden we were loved again.

Gee, it only took me two years after my AoA, but I shudder to think of
what it would have been had not a good friend sat on the throne. As for
the peerage, a mere, shameless, eight years after that.

I always love it when I hear helpful tyros telling total newbies that an
AoA is something that just happens when you've been in six months or so...
