This is the system we are using for Twelfth Night/ Last Coronet Investiture
in Lochac. The "below the salt" feast is a simple meal of shish kebabs,
bread, salads and fruit served in the open air, at a low cost.

The "above the salt" feast is a lavish feast from Islamic Cordoba, which
will cost substantially more. It will feature a wide variety of dishes,
served in the decorated hall appropriately decorated with Moorish banners,
tiraz curtains and greenery, and attended by servants.

The above the salt is capped at 80 to make things manageable, the below is
open and we are expecting up to 200. Due to the different nature of the
meals the kitchen overlap will be minimal, and mainly refrigerator space
(kekabs will be cooked outdoors on the barbecue on site), which should make
life easier for everyone. So far the response has been very good, and could
well become the model for future Kingdom events.
