That isn't the kind of protection it once was; we don't get away with
that Gotham act any better than Settmour Swamp used to ;-).

Note that I've been involved in many kingdom-level events, and this is
the first time _this_ particular problem has occurred. Of course there's
always something, but since you've commented on my degree of patience
(which, believe me, I appreciate), it should be pointed out that my
evident patience is also due to the fact that this really isn't that big
a deal in the grand scheme of things. I'd prefer it were different, but
it's just one of the plethora of things that one may have to put up with
for the chance to do something really cool, that one really wants to
do. Much as I like to complain (hey, what Kingdom am I from, after
all?), the bottom line is that I don't have to do anything I don't want
to do. What I want to do is hear the sound of 200 chins hitting 200
sternums. The gamble, and the fun, will be to see if I can do that.

Most of this has been answered perfectly well elsewhere, so I'll just
add this. You do what you do because you enjoy it and/or because you
feel it needs to be done. Preferably "and". Every once in a while it's
natural to hope for a little validation and encouragement from your
friends, maybe a little reality check, but ultimately, you know you and
your efforts best: you should be your own harshest judge, and if you're
satisfied, well, bleep 'em if they can't take a joke. If you can
_honestly_ say you're happy with the way you are playing this game, then
the chances are good others will be, too, most of the time. As with most
other games, your fellow players will let you know if there's a problem.

Dahling, there is no such thing as a dumb question.
