Sure sweetie!
 TRANSLATION is when you translate the meaning of words from one language to
another as in:
HEBREW                  ENGLISH
"key-say"  =               chair

TRANSLITERATION is what I did when I wrote out:
"key-say".  I don't have the hebrew characters on my computer keyboard nor
could many people here in this forum read hebrew, so I "transliterate" it. I
write out what the Hebrew sounds like, using English characters  (letters.)
So now you know that "key-say" is Hebrew for chair.

A REDACTION is when you read one of those funny sounding medieval or
Renaissance written out with words recipes.  There are no cup/metric/volume
exact meausurements.  The person using this funny recipe wants to figure out
how much of the ingredients to put into this recipe to make it and also
(usually) to let other people who come after him or her know exactly how to
make this dish.  So, when you REDACT a recipe, you read it through and figure
out how much of each ingredient to put into the dish and how to perpare the
dish.
