In the notes for his new book (Dangerous Tastes: the story of Spices; U of 
CA, 0-520-22789-1, 2000, $27.50), Andrew Dalby says "The Latin recipe 
collection, [which he drew his material from] Apicius, is translated by B. 
Flower and E. Rosenbaum (London, 1961): look out for a new translation by 
Sally Grainger and Chris Grocock.  (emphasis mine)

    Ms Grainger worked with Dalby on The Classical Cookbook, which is the 
recipes half of his work on ancient Greek and Roman cookery, Siren Feasts.

    Something to lookforward to, eh?
