Well, way back when the hills were soft, and dirt was a new release I
did a fairly small feast for 40 and served roasted chicken, a sauce made
from the pan drippings and white wine with raisins, garlic powder,
celery salt and black pepper; spinach with slivered almonds and pearl
onions in a butter sauce; baked apples and bread with honey butter.
Fairly typical SCA fare in the late 80s. We had mulled cider and water
for beverages, and somebody brought a whole bunch of chocolate chip
cookies and fudge with walnuts and marshmallows.
