This is a difficult thing for me to discuss with any degree of
seriousness. Not that I can't be serious about it, it's just that it's
rather unpleasant, to say the least. Everyone involved in all that is a
real person to me, not just some well-known SCA name or some newspaper
account's supernumerary. Suffice it to say that the Duke in question had
his own, very real, set of difficulties and annoyances, but I can't look
at him with _quite_ the same degree of contempt that I have for his
mundane self's acts.   

Maybe this should move to private mail if people want to pursue this...

Hey, all I did was say the guy came up and kissed me on the cheek, and
that was a LONG time ago.
