[Sca-cooks] Pastry decoration - a question

I made a pastry rabbit for Warriors and Warlords in a seated position ( all
paws on the floor). To avoid scorched ears and allow for more detail, I actally
baked the ears seperately and attatched them after baking with toothpicks ( note:
you have to make sure the base of the ear will be thick enough not to have the
toothpick shear right through it).
You can get a realistic curve on the ears by draping them over a cone of tin
foil. Incidentally, this makes transporting the item much easier, just assemble
the bits when you get there. It also makes it possible to increase the size of
the item you are baking when you don't have giant wings, ears, etc, banging
against your top oven element and eliminates trying to remove hot tin foil off a
delicate projection in the middle of baking.
