There is such a recipe in Platina, which may or may not be the one. The
carrots or parsnips are roasted in the ashes, cleaned, cut up and
dressed with vinegar and oil, salt, condensed must and, IIRC, a sprinkle
of cinnamon. There's an onion salad that is virtually identical.
