Well, I can still put ice in a heavy ziplock and pound it with a
rawhide mallet and make it as a jalap ;-) Crushed ice drinks are
nice too ;-)

What's the camp opinion on the hand cranked ice cream machines?
LEhmans happens to carry them ;-)

Unfortunately, the hand cranked shaved ice machines I looked at
required you to freeze the ice in a special bowl. The electric
ones
had no special ice requirements but did require electicity. :-)
