IIRC, "karnatzeleh" is Yiddish for a kind of sausage.  You got the wine
right.  The whole thing is from a very famous, very funny Yiddish
theater/klezmer song from the 1920s, sung from the viewpoint of a homesick
Romanian immigrant. Billy Crystal sings part of it in "Mr. Saturday Night",
and it's a live standard for the Klezmer Conservatory Band.  It's great fun,
particularly at the end when the singer has to scat at warp speed and make
champagne-cork popping sounds.
