Subject: [outlands] Clan Wars Celtic Cookoff Information!
To all good Gentles whom these letters present doth Lord Gwydion send
greetings and felicitations!

I trust all are in preparation for Clan Wars (Jun 29-Jul 2) so, with
that in mind I though I would tell you everything you need to know about
the Celtic Cook off!

Good news: Documentation is OPTIONAL (It would be nice, however, if you
could provide a ingredient list to alert those with allergies)

Of course, if you DO want to write a dissertation on your dish, feel
free to do so. After all, documentation will count in the judging.

Food can be entered in one of five categories (Prizes will be awarded
for each category):

    1. Main Course
    2. Side Dish
    3. Dessert
    4. Beverage
    5. Children?s Category (any dish ? main, side, dessert or beverage)

More Good News Entrants do not have to be period ? although period
dishes are encouraged! (So, if Connor wants to enter that 8-pack of
Guinness again this year, be my guest! :-)

Do try, however, to have some vague association with Celtic
cooking--even if it is a modern one.
(Hint: I am one of the judges and I happen to be very fond of corned
beef & cabbage :-)

Speaking of Judges, all attending Nobility will be invited to judge
entries. (See, it is good to be the King/Queen//Baron/Baroness :-)

Celtic Cook Off Rules:

    1. Entry forms will be available at Troll.
    2. Space on the form will be provided for a ingredient list (please
complete this if you do not have documentation)
    3. You may enter multiple categories and, if you want to compete with
yourself, you can even submit multiple entrants in the same category.
    4. Entries for the cook off must be in pace at the main Ramada by
       6:00pm on Saturday, 30 June.
    5. In order to expedite judging, we will accept entries starting at
5:30 p.m. on 30 June. It is my greatest desire to have the feast
commence as soon after 6:00 pm as possible.
    6. The above times are real, actual, no kidding times ? I am not a
huge fan of SCA-time ? especially when there is a large group of
hungry folk with sharp eating implements milling about waiting to
       have dinner!
    7. Have Fun!
