I had a friend who, when ordering a steak, told the waitress, "Take
the cow
into the shade and gently introduce it to the concept of fire. Then
bring it
to me." He got a very strange look, and a very rare steak :-)

One of the nicest things about my recent trip to New York (except for
meeting Adamantius & touring the museums of course) was finding a restaurant
where the chef knew what blue steak was and cooked it perfectly.
The number of times I've asked a waiter and got a blank look are about
99-to-1. The restaurant was called 'Lannigans' on the lower west side and
not only was the rest of the food excellent but they also had a brilliant
jazz band and singer so it was a thoroughly wonderful night. I definitely
recommend the place.
