	Whole okra pods look kinda like small, pale-green,
matte-finish hot peppers, though they don't taste anything
like them.  They have a fairly strong "green vegetable"
flavor, and aren't spicy.
	FWIW, okra is supposed to be incredibly good
for you -- chock full of vitamins and such.  Though I
doubt the deep-fried version could really be considered
health food . . .
