Not so weird. Josep Lladonosa i Giro, a chef in Barcelona did just that. In
the early 80's, he opened a restaurant called the "Quatre Barres" (referring
to the heraldic device of Catalunya). He took his menu from the Libre del
coch and the Libre de Sent Sovi, and other medieval and late-period sources.
It was located in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, in a medieval building.
It was furnished with old wooden tables and chairs and simple linen
tablecloths. The restaurant is still running, 20 years later, but after he
sold it, they changed the menu. Other than the items on the menu, the
restaurant was normal, and very popular.
