To my knowledge, vegetarian feasts were not period. Meatless or Lenten feasts
 could include fish, fetal rabbits and certain species of birds.
Vegetarianism in the Western world simply did not exist except in the case of
a rare holy man or hermit. Even then consumption was usually severely
restricted to specific items such as only bread and water for instance.
