Did your pommegranite concentrate come in that way cool pressed glass
bottle?   It will darken whatever you put it in or on so if you have a thin
looking broth a few drops will fix that look.  Unless I am planning on
putting something in the smoker or grill I tend not to use it because I like
my meats to look the doneness that they are not darker (probably why I don't
like Woschester and such).   Now, this bitter orange..I shall have to look
at my Spanish market..
