Hey, it *can* be done. My house has been known to kidnap people and tie them 
to chairs and feed them things. Some period, some not. We have to our credit 
our last baroness and laurel who we kidnapped and she remarked, when 
rescued...."I had no choice. They kidnapped me, tied me up with leather, 
blindfolded me and put delicious things in my mouth...."

It can be better than bribery....
