Hello, Vara, and welcome!

You're in a bit more tight focus than the SCA overall, but I've seen
some material from Regia Anglorum and it looks like a lot of fun.

One of the things you're likely to discover about this gang is that,
since we cover, or rather, include, a later time period, we have access
to a fair amount of written recipes from approximately the 13th century
onwards (plus some occasional earlier stuff). What this will mean to you
is that you'll see the argument batted back and forth about the virtues
of archaeological evidence on food versus what we know from surviving
written recipes, on the fun of speculation versus the more narrow but
more concrete historical fact. And we do go on a bit about documentation.

I suggest you take no notice. Mostly we're nice people, if a bit nutty.
Probably quite a lot like you, actually, if I can take the liberty of
saying so.

I hear the Regia Anglorum folk make good homebrew. I recommend keeping
at least one handy, and enjoy the list.
