Has anyone tried writing to the author?  That is assuming you can find her
address.  I'm thinking that Paul Buell of _A Soup for the Qan_ was very
ready to talk about his work, and certainly helped Kiri.

She may have an idea of what the publisher is doing, or not doing, with her
book.

I seem to remember something about Pot Boiler coming out with a history of
Japanese food next year/  Do you have any further information on that?
