Actually, that's what I meant, but I didn't state it clearly.  That is,
if an animal gets an abrasion or other skin injury right before
slaughtering.  I'd imagine any "free-range" or traditionally fielded
animals would be subject to lots of superficial injuries that would be
apparant at slaughter time.
