[Sca-cooks] Favorite Fruit Cake (OT - Recipe)

Well, thirty years ago it started out as a White
Ice Box fruitcake, but has gone through a bit of
evolution over the years:

3 cups crushed vanilla wafers
1 12 oz. (by volume)can sweetened condensed milk
7 oz. (by weight) flaked coconut
8 oz. (by volume) chopped dried figs or dates
4 oz. (by volume) marischino cherries

Mix all ingredients well and pack into an
airtight container.  Refrigerate at lease two
days.  Keeps over a month in the fridge (if it
lasts that long)
It's very rich, and small slices are in order.
