1) The M's only have tied the record, so far, I hope they do get 117 though.
2) A-Rod was paid $252 million over 7-10 yr period to play for the Rangers.

3) His Agent is a Jerk who convinced My favorite player at the time in KC
(Johnny Damon) to not resign with the Royals leading to a trade to the Hated
Athletics.

and 4) It doesn't matter how many you win in the Regular season. the Yankees
will find a way to take them out in Playoffs. (TV demands that a NY team be
in the World Series)

Enjoy the Record, don't cry to much when your team doesn't win the World
Series.

Thorbjorn
CARDINALS to win it all.

may, I have other reasons to disapprove of him, largely because while I
generally approve of capitalism, I think it really, really bad for the sport
(in this case baseball, but really any professional team sport) to have any
player handed $237 million (I forget if it's per year, or over a
several-year contract, but it very nearly doesn't matter, unless the
contract is about a hundred years' duration).
