Yes, late response, I know!
Go to your local Asian grocery store and pick up a self-igniting butane
burner.  (for about $20) These are the little burner-stoves that people use
to make omlettes and stuff at fancy brunches.  I love mine, you can buy a
bunch of the butane canisters, but one lasts a fairly long time.  You just
pull the light weight burner out of the case, snap in the butane canister
then turn the knob until it "clicks" and ignites.  I love mine, and it is
safe to use in the house!
