[Sca-cooks] tongue and almonds -- a marzipan tongue?

Where the heck do you live that you cann't find beef tongues? I admit they
aren't in every store every day, but you can certainly get them. You must
live in a pretty tiny town.
As for the alomond paste, I get mine at Jetro/Restaurant Depot, a wholesale
store for restaurants and corner stores. Go to a patisserie shop and ask
where they get theirs. I suggest a patisserie because, unlike a bakery,
they specialize in fancy desserts, wedding cakes, etc. and use lots of
marzipan for icings. On a small scale, you should be able to get the small
expensive tube of already made marzipan at your local market in the gourmet
section. I have never used that stuff though so I don't know what, if any,
difference there is.
