Okay, since the discussion about EK 12th Night lasted all of 2 posts before
it changed into something totally different that, yet again, had nothing to
do with the subject line and little to do with the original subject and even
less to do with period cooking, I'd try a different tack.  I'm starting a
new thread called "Marzipan 8 track tapes" and in this thread I'm gonna ask
topical questions and maybe get topical answers.  Before anyone gets in a
huff, I am not complaining I am observing.  Way back when through the mists
of time when the list was young some sorry little squid who called himself
Puck wandered in to the internet, e-mail, the SCA and the Cooks list all for
the first time at the same time and this was my playground and everyone on
the list humored me and for the most part put up with my shenanigans as they
still do, so I have no room to bitch even if I wanted to which I don't.  I
did, however, make sure that I changed subject lines when I was fooling
around though so's I didn't hijack anyone's discussions and so that people
who had better things to do than listen to me fool around could reliably use
the delete button and not miss important topical posts.

So, on to Marzipan 8 Track Tapes....

The EK 12th Night Food bonanza is split up into 3 different parts.  As
discussed momentarily before, Master Adamantius is doing a feast.  This
feast is being strictly limited to 200 gentles for a coupla reasons, the
primary being that I (autocrat) am trying to do several 'new but not really'
things at this event, including having a significant amount of space in the
feast hall for entertainment during feast.

We are also doing a Queen's Luncheon prepared by Baron Master Joram
Goldspoons (come out of Lurk Mode Master Joram :-) which will also be
limited for different reasons.  This is limited to 25 people in order to
make it highly exclusive so I can charge an outrageous sum of money ($20 per
head).  It is a fund raiser for the Royal Travel Fund.

Finally, we are doing a dayboard which is included in basic Troll.  I don't
have a commitment on that yet, am awaiting a decision from the two ladies
that I asked.

To start off the discussion on Marzipan 8 Track Tapes, what is the opinion
of the collective on this format and, more importantly to me as an autocrat,
do you think limiting the size of the feast to less than half of the
projected attendance will cause much wailing and gnashing of the teeth?
