Please let me point out that good and open communication between all parties
concerned is always an excellent idea.

Who ever was second guessing the weather and the soup, should have gone
directly to the dayboard cook and expressed concerns. Then the dayboard cook
could have taken action.

This "I was told to make soup" thingie smacks of going behind the person's
back who said they would take care of day board. Come on folks, you gotta let
people do their jobs.
