I wouldn't touch the stuff with a 10 ft pole.

However, my mother makes a semi-legendary one with maraschino cherries, nuts
and pretty much just enough batter to hold things together. Simple, freezes
magnificently, travels well. A sought after gift among the relatives and
friends. I just don't like nuts that much...
