Well, as far as I am aware it's just Suet (Fat from around Beef
Kidneys, a particularly pure source).

I used to eat it with a spoon straight out of the jar when I was a
kid.  Mum never had enough to make mince pies when she wanted to and
so would kick me every time and send me up for the shops for more.

Arrrr, the good ole days...
