I realize that this is not quite Iron Chef, but if
anyone is interested,
 the Food Channel tonight on Sept. 2 (again on 9/8)
is running a Food Network Special:

 The National Pastry Team Championship.

 "Hosted by Marc Summers, twelve teams and 36 chefs
 compete with hundreds of pounds of sugar, butter and
 chocolate to take home the gold--and cash--from one of
 the most prestigious culinary contests around--The National

 The Road to Bocuse d'Or ends here in Lyon, France,
