Greetings all! (And sorry about the cross-posting)

I've been watching very similar discussions develop indepentendly on
both lists, and have been interested to see what folks have to say. And
now, for my 2 or 4 pence...

The SCA is a large and important part of my life. I do spend a fair
amount of time in SCA-related endeavors- at teh moment largely on-line
due to money and health concerns. Most of my friends are here. Like
Tangwystl, I find my personal projects frequently overlap the SCA
projects. There are threads of my life that weave both SCA and mundane
together into a larger cloth.

But- the SCA is after all, a hobby, a volunteer organization. And if
something went *POOF!* and the SCA went away tomorrow, I would continue.
I would keep on with my projects, though they might grow in different
directions. There are some people who I might not see again, or think
of- but those immediately around me would still be much beloved friends-
albeit with different names. And I would still adore and want a life
with that goofy green-eyed man, be he called James or Seumas.

The SCA is a delight. But my life is mine.
