Everyone seems to be alive in my friends and family.

Sometime after 6:30 pm while I was still waiting to give blood we got
through to my brother and sister in law who are respectively a White
House employee and an NSA employee.

I'm going back tomorrow to try again to give blood, but I think I'll be
one of the very few of the hundred or so other people who were sent home
at 9pm this evening.  I'd been signed in at 4:16pm and been waiting
since 3:30pm.
