      We've been scheduled to do the cookie exchange in December.  People
won't be thinking of the fire and police departments as much then, but
they will have to get through a holiday without lots of people.  What if
we baked extra to make holiday care packages for them at that time?

      And not to be awfully snotty and suspicious, but if this sounds
like a good idea, maybe we could find someone to hand deliver them?  That
way, the firemen and police won't have to be suspicious themselves
(sigh).
