Funny, that.  I've always wanted to experience
the jury duty thing at least once.  Well, I was
finally called about a year ago.  After waiting
most of the day through all the paper shuffling
and so on, my name was called.  Walked into the
courtroom and went through that endless
mumbo-jumbo.  Finally they got around to voire
dire.  I was the first one examined, and I didn't
make it past the first question: Do you
personally know any law enforcement officers.  My
response?
"Well, hardly any apart from my father and
brother, two uncles and twenty cousins."  I was excused.
