[Sca-cooks] roasted cubebs

Does anybody know how well cubebs survive roasting? The bag they were
living in (from the Pepperer's Guild) managed to get wet somehow and then
it was left that way for obviously too long. I've picked out all the
moldy ones, then I put them on a cookie sheet in a warm oven to dry out a
little more--but I think I scorched them a tad. Is this a bad thing and
should I just get more, or are they going to be ok to use?
