read: mezzaluna (does that sound familiar to you and your see-saw blades? Or is it something else?)

Often comes with a cutting board with a dished center that fits the blades.

We have a set of Wusthof knives and I really like them. They are
very tough, sharpen up nicely, and are well balanced. I feel like I have
good control using them - and I have tiny little hands. I love my paring
knife, chef's knife, and the cleaver in particular. No knife envy here!
I'm very satisfied.

The only other "must have" knife in my drawer is this 2 handed,
double bladed thing that looks like a curved seesaw with handles at the
ends. I don't know what it is, but it makes quick work of big chopping
projects.
