gour*mand (noun)

[Middle English, from Middle French gourmant]

First appeared 15th Century

1 : one who is excessively fond of eating and drinking

2 : one who is heartily interested in good food and drink

 synonym see EPICURE

 -- gour*mand*ism (noun)

 -- gour*man*dize (verb intransitive)

I was using it in the sense of definition 2. ;-)
