I have to go with Ras here. I've heard this distinction before, and in
practical terms it seems virtually never to be applied. Brillat-Savarin
writes, I'm pretty sure, almost exclusively of gourmands, but he's never
talking about any unusual fondness for quantity. Yes, he's writing in
French, but I believe the French text uses the word, too.
