First off, I need to make it clear that any comments I include are not
directed at the good Johnna, nor at anyone else who has been involved in
this discussion.

Gee, and I always thought that would be the Pope, who, I find, does not
seem to be broadcasting such views...

And it couldn't happen to a nicer couple of guys.

 > Falwell said the American Civil Liberties Union has "got to take a lot

Where are Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon when we need them? This is truly
the best these two alleged men of God can come up with, spouting what
amounts to hate speech while people like Father Michael Judge, the NYCFD
chaplain, gave his life comforting the wounded at Ground Zero?

True. America created conditions whereby this was possible. Not
doing so would have massively compromised our freedoms and these two
hypocritical, opportunistic vampires would be among the first to
complain about a godless government which has taken away their civil
rights.

I deeply hope that in the next few days Mr. Bush will expand on these
remarks. He's done fairly well so far in this, but in my opinion he has
a great deal to make up for. He may actually do it, too, for all I know.

 > Falwell was unrepentant, saying in an interview that he was "making a

See Matthew, 7:14, etc.

 > "I put all the blame legally and morally on the actions of the

Not to protect? I'm sorry. NOT TO PROTECT??? Can I be reading this? A
bunch of murdering "ZZ-Top wannabes" (blame Michael Moore for that one)
aim four jumbo jets at us. Of the four, one creates less than a hundred
casualties, and the remaining three create an estimated combined total
of approximately 6,000. The World Trade Center alone normally housed
some 23,000 workers, and this occurs just before 9AM on a business day,
and we have 6,000 combined total dead or missing? Of whom some may yet
be rescued alive? And these idiots speak of not protecting? Consider the
possible extent of damage, and compare it to the actual damage, and it
sure looks like protection to me. Obviously those who've lost loved ones
may not see it that way, but even in the SCAdian community alone, the
number of people who would normally have been at Ground Zero, but for
some reason stayed home late for another cup of coffee and missed their
trains, stayed home sick, or experienced any of several other fairly
ordinary delays, is astonishing. My Viceroy's son is an EMT, and when he
heard of the first crash, he and his partner immediately tried to enter
Manhattan Island via the Brooklyn Bridge. They were too late, and were
turned away because the bridge was being closed. Eight of their
co-workers were not too late, and so were at Ground Zero for the second
crash and the subsequent collapses. I don't know if they're considered
missing or dead, but they're not home with their families, while my
friend is. I'm home with my family, too. The majority of New York's more
than 8 million citizens have been, at worst, frightened and
inconvenienced, but nothing more.

This man actually ran for President at one point. I'm glad to see this
sign of his bravery and dedication to his cause. I truly wonder where
he'd be if he were President right now.
