[Sca-cooks] apple pies

I haven't a recipe on hand, but pies made with dried fruit are common in
our area.  I think they're reconstituted in water or fruit juice, then
used as usual.  They have a good rich flavor, from the oxidation that
makes the dried fruit so much richer.
