	  Don't know any of this, but I can show that there was a Near/Mid
East influence that spread up through Russia, Estonia, and Latvia through
the techniques and patterns of medieval sock knitting.  I don't know if this
would prove actual trade, though.  OT, so if anyone wants my references,
please e-mail me.
