[Sca-cooks] Marble slabs

Back in the bad old days, I picked up a marble step ("picked up" - ha!
It weighed a LOT!) from a demolition site in San Francisco. This was in
the days before the Victorian neighborhoods were being restored. Anyway,
it fit very nicely on my skinny little countertop in my tenement in
South of Market. Cleaned up just fine with Bon Ami, if I recall. I just
didn't put hot pots directly on it.
