I could drive, too, I suppose, it'd just take me the better part of a
week (each way)....somehow, I don't relish driving through (lemmesee)
Montana, one of the Dakotas, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio,..in
August....without air conditioning....oh heck, at any rate, a couple of
thousand miles.  Folks from my area drive every year, but I don't have
_quite_ that much vacation time saved up, and a friend and I are
planning on "doing" Europe next year anyway, so that'd completely eat my
vacation hours. [now, if only I can figure out how to survive the trip
without my embroidery stuff, and _not_ go completely full-goose
gonzo....]
