Chirurgeons use that system. Apprenticeship is to
train a new Chirurgeon in SCA specific injuries and
how to deal with them, including removing armor, and
how to remove women's tight bodices, Journeyman means
you can run an event or treat someone by yourself, and
you're covered under SCA insurance, Master is
honorary, to recognize you as an experienced source of
advice.

Mundane certs have nothing to do with the SCA ranking-
whether MD or first aider, you start as an Apprentice,
or can become a Master.
