Thanks, Nanna. What has happened is that someone on
the Medieval Animal List was asking about them, and
this appeared to be the only sensible site.

Does it say anything about where to get them? Any
documentation of their claim to age of breed? Do you
have any familiarity with the breed? After an earlier
conversation on-list about various breeds of animals,
and how folks think they've changed so as to be almost
unrecognizable, 'm thinking about raising a few
individuals of period breeds, and trying them for
myself.

Still think chicken is chicken, pretty much, but we
will see.....

Phlip, who when told these were Viking chickens, could
envision them as big-busted, wearing a horned helmet,
singing arias.....
