[Sca-cooks] Cooking for the press

Way back when, I was featured in one of these
photo shoots for the food pages of the local paper.
Watch bending over in the low cut gowns; somehow
the photos can emphasize the cook's bosom and not the dish.
Make sure that the shots of the foods and the background
is done properly. Decorate everything like it was going
to be in Bon Appetit. Block out the worst parts of the
distracting mundane backgrounds. Watch the colors; some dishes
may have to be redished in another bowl in order to make the
photograph look right.Think Composition; Balance.
If they shoot digital images, try to get them to let
you see the images so you know if they should be reshot.

Give them 6-8 recipes of varying length. That way they
can adjust for space at their end without slicing the recipes
to death. Supply a glossary if the terms are strange.
Also supply local sources for the ingredients, should
that be required.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
