I always associate SOS with the dried beef - the armour stuff that comes in
a jar? Creamed chipped beef........ Stouffer's actually makes one - Mom
likes that too. :)

I believe the common name for that particular dish is SOS! :)
The toast + egg concoction is still on the menu at Cracker Barrel's
everywhere.
