[Sca-cooks] and try to make a bread oven I can haul back and forth with me

I got my ideas from this wonderful Lady who camps with the camp of the three
bears at Pennsic (and if you are on this list, Dear Lady, forgive me for
forgetting your name). As Ponte Alto was camped right across from her, I
spent a lot of time wandering across the street and watching her assemble
her oven. Something she does every year. Her base is made of fireplace
brick that she brings back to Pennsic every year, the rest she makes on
site. After watching her, as well as after a shopping trip with a friend
of mine in the merchant area near the barn, I came across a copy of "Bread
Ovens of Quebec" Don't have the rest of the book info with me, Lady Ayisha
of Storvik took it with her to Oklahoma (thanks a lot, Mom...can I please
have my book back.....and my Pampered Chef stoneware dishes.....and my
Henkels knives)

I'm thinking of using fireplace brick for my base as well.... going to try a
few experiments in the back yard until I get something that works.....in
other words, isn't too heavy, but can stand to being hauled around all over
the place. I'll keep you informed with my progress if you'd like.
