I have a quandary. I'd like to take part, this year (of course, the year I
start the lower-carb diet), but I honestly don't know what my time is
going to be like WRT my mother. So, do I skip it for another year, or do
I risk not having the time or the ability when I've already made the
commitment?

[Of course, I could always stop by Finn's and snitch *her* goodies. :-)]
